Freelance medical writing, analysis, and research support in practice
A selection of recent publication, grant, evidence-synthesis, and data-analysis work—plus feedback from researchers and organisations I have supported along the way.
A working hypothesis
We hypothesised that this would be the best freelance medical writing service in the galaxy
That remains a difficult claim to peer review. More usefully, the work below shows the kinds of projects, collaborations, and client experiences that have shaped Blazon Scientific.

Frequently asked questions
Working with Blazon Scientific
What kinds of organisations do you work with?
I work with academic and clinical researchers, universities and hospitals, pharmaceutical and biotech organisations, digital-health teams, and MedComms, SciComms, and health-news organisations.
Can you support more than one part of a project?
Yes. Projects can combine services such as data analysis, evidence synthesis, manuscript writing, scientific editing, grant support, or scientific communications when that makes methodological and practical sense.
Do you work only in your specialist research areas?
No. My deepest expertise is in metabolism, biochemistry, nutrition, exercise science, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiometabolic health, but I have also supported work across cancer, immunology, inflammation, neurological disease, reproductive health, cardiovascular disease, and related biomedical topics.
Can you work under tight deadlines?
Sometimes. Feasibility depends on the scope, complexity, quality of the source material, and my availability. Send the deadline and current project status and I will tell you what can realistically be done.
Have a project in mind?
Tell me what you are trying to get over the line
Send a short description of the project, the service you think you need, and your deadline. If you are not sure where the project fits, that is fine—I can help work that out from the brief.
