Summary
The Study Effect Size Calculator is designed so that the study values you enter are processed locally in your web browser. The calculator does not send those entered values to Blazon Scientific for calculation and does not require a user account.
What happens to the data I enter?
Calculations are performed by JavaScript running in your browser. Values entered into the calculator remain on your device while you use the page. They are not transmitted to a Blazon Scientific calculation server or database.
Saved calculations
If you choose Add to results table, the saved calculation is stored in your browser’s local storage so that it can remain available if you reload the page. This local storage is on your device and is not a Blazon Scientific account or cloud record.
You can remove saved calculator data by using the calculator’s Clear table control. Clearing your browser’s site data for blazon-scientific.com will also remove locally stored calculator results.
CSV downloads
When you choose Download CSV, the CSV file is generated locally in your browser from the calculations currently stored in the results table. The calculator does not need to upload those values to create the file.
Clipboard actions
Controls such as Copy result, Copy values, Copy Methods wording and Copy table copy the selected calculator output to your device clipboard. These actions do not send the copied study values to Blazon Scientific.
External links
The tool contains links to methodological references and other web pages. If you follow an external link, the destination website will process your request according to its own privacy practices. The calculator does not append your entered study values to those links.
Website-level data
This privacy note describes the handling of values entered into the calculator itself. Normal requests to view the surrounding Blazon Scientific website may still involve standard web-server logs, security systems, cookies or analytics configured for the website. Calculator input values are not intentionally included in those page requests.
What should I enter?
The calculator is intended for study-level summary statistics. Avoid entering directly identifying participant information. Individual participant-level data are not required for the supported calculations.
